Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone which is responsible for normal growth and development of male sex organs and maintenance of secondary sex characteristics. Testosterone is primarily secreted in the testes of men and the ovaries of women. In men, testosterone plays a key role in health and well-being as well as in sexual functioning. Examples include increased sex drive, increased energy, lean muscle mass and protection against cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. As men age and testosterone levels begin to decline usually after age 30, many men begin to experience symptoms associated with low testosterone otherwise known as testosterone deficiency. However most symptoms can be reversed or improved with Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).
Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is used to treat symptoms associated with Andropause in men that are testosterone deficient. It is the process of restoring testosterone levels with "bio-identical" hormones. Bio-identical hormones are hormones which have identical molecular structures to those the body naturally produces. Clinical symptoms, physical exam, medical history and lab results will determine if a patient qualifies for treatment. Get Started
